NeverLate is an iPhone app that allows your calendar to cross reference the traffic report. So rather than merely warning you that a meeting is in 10 minutes, it can dynamically ping you, right when you should leave for that meeting, given unforeseen road construction, accidents, or just one of those backups where everyone is simply hitting their brakes too much. Meanwhile, you can focus entirely on getting ready, rather than digging through traffic reports.
“After you’ve used the app for about a week, NeverLate will learn where your home and work are and when you’re normally there.”

Hi -  EVERYONE in Chicago should probably get this.  Anxious to see if it will look at public transportation as well.  We shall see.

THIS WEEK

Besides being permanently tired this week here’s a list of the things I’d rather be doing than rescheduling all the meetings that people are canceling on me during MY LAST WEEK ON THE JOB:

1-Buying party decorations for the awesome America party that is going down this weekend

2-Buying MORE party attire/favors for our NC trip in two weeks

3-Watching more of The Office - it’s my first time guys.  P.S. Do you know how much cake they eat on The Office?  It permanently makes me crave cake.

4-Watching more of the new Arrested Development - although watching Portia De Rossi now vs. then is kind of mind blowing

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding in Dallas, TX this weekend of one of my best childhood friends.  Rachel is someone who I’ve been very close with at times but we’ve also had our differences (who hasn’t!)  I was overwhelmed with joy to see how truly happy she was this weekend with her new husband.  Rarely have I seen two people that genuinely make each other so happy.  It was such a wonderful weekend filled with non-stop laughter and tears as we celebrated with the beautiful bride.  Not to mention the non-stop partying that happens when you have dozens of Springfield natives in the same vicinity for more than 48 hours.  I’m going to need about 2 weeks to recover at minimum.

Mid April when my college gang normally does a Keeneland weekend we opted for visiting one of our own during his last month of law school in Newport, KY (not Cincinnati FYI- I was promptly corrected.) Friday we drove in to Louisville to pick up some friends, dine at Doc Crow’s, and hit up some late night dives. We woke up early Saturday to hit the road for Newport where we hit up the Hofbrauhaus and ate at the nicest little restaurant called Oscar’s before heading out to a Crossfit party ( don’t ask) and finally making it out to one of my now favorite bars Wiseguy Lounge. Sunday was the first truly nice day of spring I experienced so we did some stoop sittin’ and outdoor brunch. All in all a lovely little weekend with some of my favs!

I like being alone. I like doing what I want. I like my freedom, my independence, my non-reliance on other people. I like cooking for 1 and drinking wine on a Tuesday and flirting with strangers. I cherish this time knowing that I…
